Homemade Corn Tortillas

Ingredients
- 2 cups masa harina
- 2-3 tablespoons of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/3 cups of warm water
Instructions
- Set oven to warm.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together masa, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water using a wooden spoon until ingredients are well blended. Knead for 20-30 seconds.
- Divide the dough into 12 golf size balls. Place in an oven safe dish and cover with a damp dish cloth to keep warm in the oven.
- Using wax paper, press tortillas with a press or roll out. Press each tortilla carefully.
- Heat griddle to medium high heat with oil. Cook each tortilla 30 seconds, flip and cook one minute, then flip and cook one more minute.
- Transfer cooked tortillas to a tortilla warmer or an oven safe dish.
Notes:
It's helpful to cook two tortillas at a time and to use a stop watch.
